The Child Abuse Prevention Coordinating Council of Humboldt County (CAPCC Humboldt) is comprised of its general members, a Volunteer Board of Directors, and a Coordinating Consultant. CAPCC membership is open to anyone interested in child abuse prevention, intervention and treatment.
Members are encouraged to attend our monthly meetings held the fourth Friday of most months. Board meetings are accessible in person and via Microsoft Teams.

01Increase education and awareness
Share resources and educational materials, publish newsletters, provide trainings, and promote Child Abuse Prevention Awareness Month.
02Increase coordination and communication
Serve as a communication body for agencies and individuals involved in prevention, intervention and treatment.
03Advocate for children and families
Support the establishment of prevention programs and distribute information on issues affecting children and families.
04Recognize outstanding work
Honor individuals and groups nominated by peers for helping make life better for children in Humboldt County.
